The comic book The Shadow Mage was published in 1994 by Armada Comics. The first two issues included special printings of Magic cards. These cards are identical to Fourth Edition cards, but have a copyright date of 1994 rather than 1995 like regular Fourth Edition cards. Note that these are not Summer Magic cards. Summer Magic is also copyrighted 1994, but the style of the copyright date is entirely different. A total of four issues of The Shadow Mage were published, but only the first two had promotional cards included.
