Arena League debuted at at Origins on 4 July 1996, with the first
regular season commencing 2 August 1996. Participants were given special, alternate art basic lands for signing up.
Additionally, if you won you got either an alternate art Disenchant or Fireball.
The basic land artworks were drawn by Tony Roberts, and form a quintych landscape.
